I keep thinking of new questions/variables for my research. First is still "How do I effectively advertise my library and its programs to teens?" Then there was the whole on-line/not on-line thought from my last post. I imagine the research instrument itself needs to include questions such as "How likely are you to come to the library?" "Why or why not?"; "What would induce you to come to the library?" "How can the public library serve you?"
This line of research stems from a distinct lack of attendance at my teen programs, even though the age range is Sixth Grade through Twelfth and we are within walking distance of both the Middle and High Schools. True, it is about a mile from the student parking lot at the High School, but doable.
