I am having trouble locating literature directly related to promoting pubic library programs and services to Teens. I found two articles published in March of 2011 in "Aplis," the journal of the Australasian Public Libraries and Information Services, but that's pretty much it.
And they are, of course, about reaching Teens in Australia and New Zealand. There is certainly valid information--as Teens are Teens the world around--but my frustration is mounting.
You probably have already looked here, but try http://www.ala.org/yalsa/ if you haven't.
ReplyDeleteIn particular, there is an area labelled 'professional tools' that contains sub areas including research, online resources, etc. that may be helpful.
I searched the YALSA site and came upon their research journal (http://www.yalsa.ala.org/jrlya/), but there was nothing on my particular topic. The rest of the site was similarly unhelpful. There are lots of suggestions on how to reach teens through different marketing tools, but no data on effectiveness.
